| HISTORY/ MISSION: Wesley Dylan Mullins was a happy six year old boy that loved to fly kites, ride his bike and play sports. On Aug. 4, 2007 Wesley was found murdered on his Grandfather's property in Paris,Kentucky. After extensive investigation a friend of the family was arrested and now awaits trial. After the tragic loss of Wesley, one anonymous Paris citizen took it upon herself to make a change within the community. Her goal was to somehow find some sense, and possible some way, to preserve the memory of Wesley and in turn help the family, friends and community start a healing process. In Dec. 2007 the property located at 1406 S. Main St., the location of Wesley's death, was placed on the market for sale by the Mullins family. The anonymous citizen contacted the family regarding the purchase of the property. At the time, the use of the property after purchase was unknown but they were told the buildings on the property would be torn down and that a project dedicated to Wesley's memory would be put on the property. The Mullins family was overwhelmed and in full support of the project. Mark Williams, a friend of the donor and a general contractor, was contacted to assist in finding the best use of the property. Several non-profit organizations were explored. The original thought was to simply donate the land to non-profit organization. But, after much consideration, it was decided that this would not serve the memory of Wesley. The plan then turned to exploring the possibility of building a community facility in Wesley's honor. Wesley's Place, incorporated filed in May of this year for a non-profit status and is currently pending approval. The organization's mission is to create an office complex that can provide free space to other non-profit organizations that will serve the community of Paris and Bourbon County. Currently, we have several organizations under consideration for using the space, but we are still open to organization inquiries. The building will be approx. 3,000sq/ft, single story, with 6 offices, a conference room, a computer classroom, and functionally will allow 2 separate organizations to use the space. The total cost of the building is estimated at around $325,000. We are in great need of approx. $200,000 in funding to build the facility. We are reaching out to the community to receive as much financial, material and volunteer support as possible. We are also seeking grant money and corporate sponsorship to help support the majority of the build fund. Surveys, architectural plans and building permits are in progress, but will take several weeks to finish. Meanwhile, we will be seeking volunteers and donations to schedule the build. We hope to begin construction in July and expect the project to take approx. 5 months and be ready to open in Dec. 2008. www.WesleysPlace.org Contact Information: Project Manager: Mark Williams , (859) 533-6374, Mark@WesleysPlace.org Board Member: Pamela Jacques, (859) 608-6159, Pamela@WesleysPlace.org Board Member: Tim Gray, (859) 707-7319, Tim@WesleysPlace.org P.O.
